PAINTINGS BY HELEN FIGGIS
3 – 24 December
Tolbooth Arts Centre, Kirkcudbright

A new exhibition of paintings by Helen Figgis opens in Kirkcudbright’s Tolbooth Art Centre on Saturday, 3rd December. In recent years the Rhonehouse artist has taken a break from exhibiting, but started again with a show at the Nail Factory, Dalbeattie, this summer now followed by this show in the Tolbooth’s Studio.

Helen trained at Art School in London, followed up by teacher training majoring on art.
She works in watercolour, collage, oil, and crayon – on their own or in combination. Since her break, she feels she is now painting more spontaneously and with more experimentation, as is reflected in this exhibition.

The exhibition runs until 24 December in the Tolbooth Art Centre, Kirkcudbright. Opening times Monday- S
